Albany Walk/Run for Kidneys

Albany Walk/Run for Kidneys

The Walk/Run for Kidneys is our largest community awareness/fundraising event.  It is a time when the entire region can come out and support those living with kidney disease and waiting for a life saving transplant.  This event, now in its 8th year, raises funds for direct patient assistance, free kidney screenings that help us to identify people in early stages of kidney diseas, when it's most treatable, school based programs, advocacy, local research and so much more!  It's an inspiring event that everyone - corporations, healthcare institutions, academic institutions, friends, neighbors, and family members can participate in.  It's the perfect event for everyone - and this year, for the first time, we are adding a 5K run for those looking for something a little more challenging.  So whether you walk or run - remember that the funds you raise are 100% staying in the local community.  Also new this year - a fantastic prize for the person that raises the most funds exceeding $1000.  So don't hesitate - register and start fundraising today!

Event will feature entertainment by Spare Parts, a kids zone featuring Kizmet and her clown friends, Sidney the Kidney, pony rides and games; refreshments; and a 50/50.  Also new this year - our Tykes on Bikes bike safety check and rodeo will be offered for kids pre school through grade 5!

The 5K pre-registration is only $20.  Day of event registration begins at 7:30 am, with the race beginning at 8:30 am.  An awards ceremony will follow.

The Walk registration begins at 9:00am, with the walk beginning at 11:00am.
