Welcome to the 8th Annual Outright Vermont Fire Truck Pull!

Outright's hilarious annual fundraiser is coming soon! The Fire Truck Pull is on September 17, 2011 at 12pm at the Church Street Marketplace in Burlington. Last year's pull raised $24,000 for Vermont's queer youth and we hope to smash that record this year! We need your help! Teams of 12 compete to see who can pull a real fire truck 30 feet up Church Street the fastest! Teams are forming now and each team is responsible for raising $1500.00 (only $125 per person). Our goals is to have 20 teams compete this year, so get your co-workers, friends, neighbors, kids, family members, etc together and form a team. The coveted Golden Fire Truck is awarded to the team (and new this year, to the individual as well) that raises the most money, the team with the fastest pull time, the team with the best costumes, and the audience favorite. Here's how to get started:

• Click the "Get Started" button.
• Be creative and customize your page! Add a photo, personalize the text on your page, and talk about why you are raising money.
• Encourage your teammates to make their own pages, too! Remember, each team MUST raise a minimum of $1500.00 (although we encourage you to raise more!)
• When you are done, simply e-mail it out to friends, family, and co-workers and watch your donations stream in! 
• We encourage each team member to create their own page.  However, in the past some teams have chosen to fundraise on the same page.  If you do this, please let us know so that we are tracking the fundraising correctly.

 Once people start giving, an automatic thank you e-mail is sent to all donors (you can customize this too). You can check your online fundraising page often to see who has given, what they've said, and how much closer you are to your goal!
