In the spring and summer of 2005, Logan Square Walks took this neglected corner right in the heart of our neighborhood and transformed parts of it into a lovely native prairie garden. The project took wings with the help of many volunteers, including community groups such as LSNA, the seniors at the Logan Vistas Elderly Apartments, the Norwegian Lutheran Memorial Church, and landscape design by Grounds for Growth.
This year, with the assistance of archi-treasures, this public space in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, has become a work of art. Incorporating an intergenerational sculpture and a walking path, the Paseo Prairie Garden has taken on new dimensions and has been called a neighborhood "gem."
Help us do even more! We would like to add a seating area so that people can relax in the garden. In addition, we want to create a fence that incorporates designs from local residents of all ages - children to seniors - to protect and outline the garden. Please help us raise money to do these wonderful projects and continue to improve the beauty of Logan Square.
