Cruisin' Toward a Cure for PF...Because Breathing Matter Car Show
My father-in-law, Douglas R. Partenheimer was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in April 2006. He lost his battle with this disease on January 14, 2010—just short of a lung transplant. My father-in-law was a wonderful, God-fearing man, who loved his family, friends, and community. He was a lifelong Holland, Indiana resident, he worked at Holland Dairies (now Prairie Farms) for 35 years, and was also a 35 year volunteer fire-fighter and first responder.
Last year, to help find a cure and raise awareness of this little known disease, my family organized a car show—one of my dad’s passions and hobbies—and raised $8,500+ to benefit the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF). PFF’s mission is to help find a cure for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), advocate for the pulmonary fibrosis promote disease awareness, and provide a compassionate environment for patients and their families.
This year, help us reach our new goal of $10,000 and help spread awareness of PF!
