Security On Campus (SOC) is a unique non-profit grass roots organization dedicated to safe campuses for college and university students. Founded in 1987 by Connie & Howard Clery following the murder of their daughter Jeanne at Lehigh University, SOC has achieved many goals, most notably the Clery Act requiring Universities and Colleges to provide campus crime statistics to students and their families. Today SOC supports four significant programs:
- Clery Act training for University and College Safety Administrators
- High School Peer Education covering safety issues in college (alcohol, sexual assault, stalking)
- Victom Advocacy and Referral Services
- National Campus Safety Awareness Month
