Skinner Road School is back at the Hartford Marathon for its 2nd straight year.  Mrs. Chatterton and Mr. Uthgenannt will be running the full 26.2 miles, but we need your help! We are forming a relay team of students, parents, and staff members to run with us.   

Here's how it works: Students who are interested in running will keep a running log from now until October 11th.  They will run 25 miles (1 mile at a time) over the next 6 weeks.  These runs will be done at home, during recess, or at our after school practices.  Each mile needs to be initialed by an adult. On race day students will run with a parent or staff member for one mile during the race. Everyone will also have the opportunity to run the final two tenths of a mile so we can cross the finish line together.  When it is all said and done the students will each have run a marathon!

Our team is running in support two local charities in Vernon, CT.  We will raise money for the Tri-Town Fuel Bank and the Cornerstone Foundation.
