Our mission is to promote the well-being of animals through SAVE: Spay/Neuter, Adopt, Volunteer and Educate

The Woodford Humane Society is a non-profit animal adoption center in Versailles, Kentucky. We have welcomed thousands of homeless and unwanted animals since 1975 and strive to find good, loving homes for all of them. Since 2007, we have placed 90% of our animals into their forever homes.

Spay/neuter and education are key elements in ending the pet overpopulation crisis. A committed staff and strong volunteer program allow us to carry out our SAVE mission. 

With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to provide care to 1,200 animals each year.
