My personal message:

Family and Friends,

I have decided to subject myself to the physical torture of a marathon one more time.

This time is different for three reasons.

1) It is the NYC marathon, which is a race that runners all over the world dream of running.

2) I am challenging myself to run a "respectable" time, which for me will be around 3 hours and 30 minutes.

3) And, perhaps most importantly, I am running on behalf of an organization that is committed to helping young women in several African countries receive quality education.

I am thankful for any and all of your support as I prepare for this challenge and if you are interested in making a donation to the organization, CAMFED, on whose behalf I will be running, please follow the link and feel free to forward the information to anyone you think might be interested.
