ADVENTURE FOR THE CURES
Adventure for the Cures involves 1500 miles of dual sport riding wherein the “Dirty Dozen” will encounter endless wild life, majestic mountains, forests, canyons and prairies. Their out-back riding will involve single track trails as well as dirt and gravel roads.
The “Dirty Dozen,” is represented by twelve women riders, brand new to dual sport riding but willing to sign on and learn something new in order to garner research funds and visibility around two killers: breast and ovarian cancers.
These 12 “hearty” souls each commit to raising a minimum of $2000 on behalf of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation and the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation. Plus, they are taking on their own expenses to participate.

The Women’s Motorcyclist Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable, educational organization. As an all volunteer army of peaceful warriors, our riders have contributed over 2.2 million dollars towards the eradication of breast cancer by funding research. To date, our efforts have been mostly on behalf of Susan G Komen for a Cure.
Starting in 2009, we will be raising funds for two other organizations, the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation (DSLRF) www.drsusanloveresearchfoundation.org and the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation (GCF) www.gynecologiccancerfoundation.org
Both of these organizations are determined to improve the quality of women's health through innovative research, education, and advocacy.
The Doctor Susan Love Research Foundation directs all of its energies towards breast cancer, whereas the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation pursues research around other women’s cancers such as ovarian, endometrial, cervical and uterine cancers. Both organizations deserve Support.
