Our goal in doing the Hebridean Challenge 29 June - 04 July is to raise money for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation in memory of TSgt Will Jefferson. Will was a USAF Combat Controller; he was killed in Afghanistan in March 2008. The foundation provides educational funds for children of deceased Special Operations Warriors to attend institutions of higher learning. Will is survived by a wife and 2 children, the youngest due to be born in May. We hope that the money we raise will help support these children of fallen warriors, not only Will's children but those like Derek Argel's son.

Will was one of my instructors at Combat Control School. For this youngest generation of controllers, he has made a lasting impact on our lives, whether it was in the basic, jumpmaster, or survey course.
