Thanks for visiting my fundraising page in support of Horizons for Youth!

Horizons for Youth is the only organization in Chicago offering the unique combination of need-based scholarships, one-on-one mentoring, and enrichment programs for 106 elementary (K - 8th) school students supporting 67 families.

I should have done something like this in my twenties but this is my first Half Marathon and hopefully it won't be my last !

I plan on completing this Half Marathon in support of my Little Sibling, Danny, who's more accustomed to competing in the swimming pool and whom I've been mentoring for the last 9 months. It's also in support of all the other great kids and families at Horizons for Youth, a really wonderful volunteer organisation that I got involved with last year.

Many thanks to all who so generously sponsored me in this endeavour ! I completed my first ever half marathon without injury and a big smile in 1hr 47minutes and enjoyed it so much I may step up to the full monty next year!
