Thank you for visiting this Web site for Alex's Lemonade Stand of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, proudly sponsored locally by Rita's Water Ice and the Philly Soft Pretzel Factory. Our goal is to continue Alex's dream of raising money for pediatric cancer research for as long as we possibly can.
My name is Chris Stover, a 2005 graduate of Garnet Valley High School in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania. I currently attend Temple University in Philadelphia and work as an Owl Ambassador and Editor in Chief of The Temple News.
At the same time Alex was receiving treatment at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, I was also. I was diagnosed with lymphoma at the age of 16 and was truly inspired once I learned about Alex and her story. The year after her death, I knew that I had wanted to organize my own Lemonade Stand.
In 2007, our local Alex's Lemonade Stand was ranked in the Top 100 Stands by the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. We raised more than $3,000 last year, raising our cumulative, three-year total to more than $10,000. And with your help, we can be added to the Top 100 list again while helping find a cure for childhood cancer.
On June 7 and 8, 2008, please visit us at Rita's Water Ice and the Philly Soft Pretzel Factory at 220 Wilmington-West Chester Pike, across from Wawa. We'll be out from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., giving lemonade at the cost of any donation.
If you are not able to attend the event in person, donations can be made through this Web site. Donating through this site is simple, fast, and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.
Thank you for your interest in Alex's Lemonade Stand. Again, please visit our stand this year on June 7 and 8. We look forward to seeing you there!
