The mission of The Friendship Club is to integrate disadvantaged adolescent girls into the community, teach them important life skills and empower them to complete their education and lead responsible lives....
The mission of The Friendship Club is to integrate disadvantaged adolescent girls into the community, teach them important life skills and empower them to complete their education and lead responsible lives. The Friendship Club, founded in 1995, is a not-for-profit organization in rural Nevada County, California. The Friendship Club provides disadvantaged adolescent girls, from 11 middle and high schools, with year round acdademic, social and emotional support. We do this through educational and mentoring activites.

Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for your interest in supporting The Friendship Club. As a staff member at The Friendship Club, it will so rewarding to work with these girls. Some enter the program with many challenges, such as low self-esteem, a lack of confidence, and troubles in academics. It is amazing to see these girls grow and change in The Friendship Club as they become more confident and graduate high school.
On September 12, 2009, The Friendship Club will be hosting a 5K/10K run/walk race called The Run for Friendship. This year’s second annual event is The Friendship Club’s biggest fundraiser and the funds raised at this fun event will support more girls for another year in The Friendship Club.
Donors like you make The Friendship Club possible and make all the difference in the lives of these girls.
Please help me make this difference. Every dollar donated goes to sponsoring a girl in The Friendship Club:
$50 can fund an educational field trip for 10 girls.
$100 can pay for groceries for an after school meal for 100 girls.
$250 can provide school supplies and basic clothing for one girl for a year.
$500 can send four girls on a weekend trip to tour 3 colleges.
