Allana Calder, age twelve, passed away on Sunday, February 1, after a long battle with cancer.  Many of you may remember Allana from the countless workshops and mainstage productions in which she participated at RFKT.  Although she often attended rehearsals while going through difficult treatments and hospital stays, she never complained.  She always gave 100% and had a smile on her face.  She demonstrated a generosity of spirit that is rare in someone so young.  Her passion for musical theater, her angelic voice and the lessons she taught all of us about living life to the fullest, will never be forgotten.

RFKT has set up a scholarship fund in Allana’s name.  The Allana Calder Memorial Scholarship will be awarded each year to a child at RFKT who embodies the qualities that Allana possessed in abundance: generosity of spirit, patience, caring, kindness and a passion for music and theater.
