The Education Fund provides private sector leadership and support for innovation in public education by designing and implementing initiatives that involve the entire community in developing its schools and bringing excellence to the education process. Established as an independent non-profit organization in 1985 with a one-time seed grant from the Ford Foundation, The Education Fund has grown from developing a single program that awarded small grants to teachers to one that has initiated over a dozen programs that build momentum for innovation for all 340,000+ students and 22,000+ teachers in 390+ schools in Miami-Dade County. Our goal is to maximize every child's potential and to ensure that all children graduate and have every opportunity for success, which will guarantee the health of our community's economic and civic future.

My personal message:
Thank you for visiting our Teacher Champion Fundraising Homepage. We are participating in the Great American Teach-A-Thon to assist The Education Fund in informing the public about the critical role Teaching Quality plays in student achievement. We will be teaching 3rd Graders in Ms. Lisa Brannon's class at Dr. Edward L. Whigham Elementary School.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution and show support for teachers and the teaching profession through the Great American Teach-A-Thon. The money you donate will help participating teachers purchase supplies for their classroom and support The Education Fund programs for teachers. On behalf of the 20,000+ public school teachers in Miami-Dade County, we want to thank you for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
