All volunteer organization, affiliated with Evanston Animal Shelter, dedicated to medically check and place for adoption stray Evanston dogs and cats to qualified homes.
Mission:
Completely volunteer based, C.A.R.E. for the Evanston Animal Shelter is dedicated to provide for the needs of the animals at the shelter including: medical, food, and socialization; to place animals in safe, healthy environments based on guidelines developed by C.A.R.E.; to promote humane treatment of animals through the education of the community and to raise funds to provide for the medical care,(all shots and spaying or neutering) and food, as well as improvements at the shelter and to otherwise further the aims of the organization.

Our personal message:
Hi Everyone! Welcome to our C.A.R.E Strut For Strays Fundraising Page! We can't wait to get out and do our bit for the pets again this year! Strut for Strays is on Saturday morning May 10. Again, we have back to back walkathons two Saturday's in a row for similar causes. C.A.R.E is our local Evanston Animal Shelter and this event raises funds for this all volunteer shelter. We enjoy doing these projects and the walkathons are great fun but we hesitate to ask for more funds from our friends, family and fellow pet lovers. We want to let you know we're out there doing our thing and making our own gift to the shelter. Feel free to make a gift to C.A.R.E by using this webpage and supporting us or just come out for the walk with us. Happy Spring!
