GRID Alternatives empowers communities in need to meet their basic requirements of health, education, and economic opportunity by providing renewable energy and energy efficiency services, equipment, and training. GRID Alternatives works collaboratively with communities and local organizations to identify specific needs and to develop renewable energy solutions that are environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable. We believe that environmental stewardship, women's rights, and humanitarian protection are integral to these sustainable solutions.

| My personal message: |
THANK YOU for visiting my Solarthon 2008 sponsorship page! (Hey, I'm not the best bowler.) On June 28, 2008, I will travel to the Bay Area to help install 8 solar electric systems in ONE day. $5 or $50 - every dollar helps! Donating through this website is simple, fast, and completely secure.
GRID Alternatives (www.gridalternatives.org) has installed over 165 solar electric systems for low-income families throughout California and provided classroom and hands-on training to over 1,700 volunteers and job training participants at no cost.
Thanks again for helping to democratize access to the benefits of renewable energy. And please forward this to anyone who may want to support our efforts.
*Much love from your favorite roof-climbing Pinay hippie*
