The Arc of New Jersey is the State's leading nonprofit advocacy and service organization for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. We provide information and support that help individuals with disabilities and their families access the services they need, and run nationally recognized programs that address critical issues and challenges. The Arc of New Jersey was incorporated in 1949 by families of individuals with intellectual disabilities so that their family members would have the opportunity to live the most independent, community inclusive lives possible. Today, The Arc of New Jersey is still guided by a constituency made up of individuals with disabilities and family members.
