My personal message:

Every year millions of animals have to be put to sleep because there aren't enough homes to take them in. Beautiful animals, from dogs to bunnies, cats to hamsters. From purebred, those "designer mixes" all the way down to "mutts" every kind of dog has passed through shelters and even more never had a chance to find their loving home.

Harbor Humane Society is my local humane society and an excellent shelter that works hard with the community and local fostering/volunteer organizations to give every animal that passes through it's doors a chance at a new life. Some of the animals that come in are in bad shape however and need medical attention. Even when in excellent shape, costs for food, toys, beds, spaying and neutering and other essentials ad up quickly.

On September 27th, myself, my three adopted dogs Daisy, Bo and Izzie, along with my mom, my fiance and a small group of friends will be walking to raise money in the Tails for Trails 2008 dog walk for this excellent shelter. Every bit donated will help out the animals of Ottawa County greatly. We really hope you'll help out and donate a bit to our team or even think about walking with us, because every little bit helps!
