A Safe Place was founded in 1978 to prevent and eliminate domestic abuse.  The mission of A Safe Place is to break the cycle of domestic abuse by providing crisis intervention, support services, education and advocacy to survivors, their famillies and the community. 

Domestic abuse is not an easy thing to talk about, but it's something that is happening to someone you know right now.  One out of two homes in America is the scene of one or more types of abuse at least once a year.  Anyone can be a victim of domestic abuse-it does not discriminate.
