Walk for the Animals

Biltmore Estate
Raise money to help the homeless animals in our community while having fun with your family and pets at this walkathon and picnic on the ground of the historic Biltmore Estate. Registered participants can solicit sponsors for their walk and join the festivities: a dog walk, picnic, entertainment, demos, vendor booths and other activities.
Adult Walkers 18+: $25
Junior Walkers 10-17: $15
The first 500 people registered will receive an official Walk t-shirt. All those that pre-register will receive a boxed lunch. Registrants the day of the event will receive a boxed lunch while supplies last. Children 9 and under are admitted free and can purchase a lunch at the event while supplies last.
Grand Prizes
The highest individual fundraiser will receive the honor of having their pet serve as the official SpokesPet for the 2009 Walk for the Animals! Their duties will include leading the 2009 Walk on the Biltmore Estate!
The team that raises the most money will receive a brick engraved with their team name to be permanently displayed in the new Adoption and Education Center!
Schedule
9am-11am: contests, vendor booths, demos, performances
11am-12pm: the Walk near the lagoon on the Biltmore Estate
12pm-1pm: more activities, picnic lunch, grand prizes announced
Please enter the event through the main entrance of the Biltmore Estate. Allow adequate time to drive through the estate to the event site.
