How?
Alpha Team K9 Search and rescue is proud to announce our second annual AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day, August 30th, 2009 at Jim Miller Park in Marrietta. We will be under the covered horse arena so there will be plenty of shade for the dogs and their two legged friends. In addition to the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and STAR evaluations and a discount Micro Chip Clinic our planned events include multiple K9 demos, Hug-a-tree presentations, games, contest, silent auction, giveaways, door prizes, vendors, adoption groups, dog wash and a super sized yard sale.
All proceeds will go toward the deployment and training of the K9’s used in search and rescue. This has been a busy year for us already with some pretty high profile, well-publicized searches and many lesser-known deployments and finds. With all the cutbacks in state and local government budgets the non-profit search and rescue teams are being called upon more and more to rescue and recover missing persons and lost souls. We need your support to continue to provide the best trained K9’s and personnel to requesting agencies statewide.
How can you help?
Participate in the Responsible Dog Ownership day events. Tell your friends and family about the RDO event. Donate items to the silent auction and yard sale. Make an online donation.
All Donations are greatly appreciated.
