Thank you for your support of the homeless animals that come to the Bangor Humane Society. These animals depend on you to provide funding for their food, shelter and care while they search for their new forever homes. Whether making a general donation or helping to pay our heat bills this winter, we appreciate your generosity and support as we continue to speak for those who cannot speak themselves.
The Bangor Humane Society spends over $1,500 during the winter months to heat our building. Please donate, or create your own fundraising page, to help us raise $6,000 during the month of November to cover these costs. Remember, without you, the animals have no where else to go...

We need you...
The Bangor Humane Society is an independant, non-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of all pets through education, advocacy and quality care. We receive no funding on the local, state or federal levels. This means we need you to help us raise the money to care for pets while they wait for their forever homes - over 65% of our $900,000 operating budget that doesn't come from adoption fees.
How your contribution helps:
- $25 provides three veterinary exams at our in-house clinic.
- $60 covers the cost of one cat spay or neuter - and helps to reduce the number of unwanted animals!
- $100 provides food, shelter, care and love for 7 dogs for one day.
- $500 provides medical treatment for two injured pets that may not otherwise have a chance.
