We need you...
The Bangor Humane Society is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of all pets through education, advocacy and quality care. We receive no funding on the local, state or federal levels. This means we need you to help us raise the money -- over 65% of our $900,000 operating budget that doesn't come from adoption fees -- to care for pets while they wait for their forever homes.
We thank you ...
Thank you for your support of the homeless animals that find temporary sanctuary at the Bangor Humane Society. These animals depend on you to provide funding for their food, shelter and care while they search for their new, forever homes. Whether making a general donation or helping to pay our heat bills this winter, we appreciate your generosity and support as we continue to speak for those who cannot speak themselves.
How your contribution helps:
- $25 provides three veterinary exams at our in-house clinic.
- $40 covers the costs of one litter of kittens in foster care for eight weeks.
- $60 covers the cost of a spay or neuter of one cat -- and helps to reduce the number of unwanted animals!
- $100 provides food, shelter, care and love for seven dogs for one day.
- $500 provides medical treatment for two injured pets that may not otherwise have a chance.
