Please allow me to introduce myself…I’m Mr. Barry Goat and I live at Cracker Box Palace Farm Animal Haven.  My friend and Farm Manager, Cheri Roloson, will be representing me on the Spike’s Hike Walk.  Me and my animal buddies aren’t allowed on the walk but that’s OK; I’ll let Cheri do the work.

Cracker Box Palace is a registered non-profit farm haven in Alton, NY. It's a unique place in Wayne County; it’s a no-kill shelter where farm animals of every kind can come to recover from illness, neglect or abuse, to learn they still have friends and family after abandonment, to ensure that beloved pets do not become meat, or just to find new people when their families can no longer care for them.  If animals cannot be placed in suitable adoptive homes, they’re allowed to live out their life at the farm.

We have over 150 animals at the farm, many that came from cruelty cases.  The volunteers at the farm and veterinarians give them proper food, medical care, physical therapy if needed, and most importantly, lots of love to heal their wounded bodies and souls.
