As a donor-supported volunteer organization, every gift – no matter how large or small – makes a BIG difference to the young people in our community. A large part of BBBS’ success hinges on the way we interview our volunteers, young people and families. It also comes from the tailored support we provide each match. The BBBS standard of excellence requires resources, and we rely on private donations for nearly 70 percent of our funding. This generous support is vital to our work supporting quality, long-lasting mentoring relationships.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake
Over the past six years, our Bowl for Kids’ Sake (BFKS) has raised more than $500,000! Remember, it’s not so much about bowling; it’s about having fun while making a difference in the lives of children! BFKS is an important fundraising event, and all proceeds go toward matching young people with Big Brothers and Sisters who can help them reach their full potential.
You can work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities to set up an online fundraising page for any event you’re planning! It costs $1,300 per year, per child, for our agency to find, enroll and match caring, adult volunteers with young people in our 10-county service area. Thanks for helping us continue to empower our Little Brothers and Sisters to embrace a brighter future! Through the support of your online fundraising page and the generosity of your friends, family and co-workers, you are helping us fulfill our mission of enriching the lives of young people through one-to-one friendships.
