Bowl for Kids' Sake (BFKS) is an important event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities (BBBS). Over the past six years, BFKS has raised more than $500,000!
BBBS matches young people with adult, volunteer mentors to build long-term, one-to-one relationships. Volunteer mentors provide friendship, emotional support, and hope to young people. In 2008, BBBS served approximately 3,300 young people in the Greater Twin Cities. Without financial contributions from our generous supporters, we would be unable to continue our work of empowering young people to develop self-esteem, explore their potential, and grow into positive, engaged members of our communities.
It costs $1,400 per year, per child, for our agency to provide the valuable services that empower our young people to embrace a brighter future. Thanks for being a part of helping us to fulfill our mission of enriching the lives of young people through one-to-one friendships!
