The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Midcoast Maine is to provide children in Knox, Lincoln, Penobscot and Waldo Counties facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Our vision is all children achieve success in life.

Educational Achievement: The Little stays in school, performs better and is more likely to graduate.

Attitudes and Competencies: The Little has higher aspirations, gains confidence to overcome challenges and improves relationships with family, peers and community.

Risky Behavior Avoidance: The Little avoids risky behaviors, delinquency and the juvenile justice system.

Littles in our program showed the following measurable outcomes based upon 2011 Program Outcome Evaluations:
