Bowl for Kids' Sake 2012!

We are back, once again, and better than ever!

 

Saturday, March 17 & Sunday, March 18 at Sim's Lanes

 

What is Bowl for Kids' Sake? For the past 28 years, BFKS has been the largest, most successful fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Beaver County. This two-day event is a chance for everyone to make a difference by raising money to help at-risk children. Donations support our mentoring programs in schools and communities throughout Beaver County. Proceeds stay here to help our children in our County.

A BFKS team includes a team captain and five team members. Each Full-Time student (High-School or College) must raise a minimun of $50, and adults must raise a minimum of $75. Every team receives two games of bowling and shoe rental. Every team member receives complimentary pizza, snacks, and beverages as well as chances to win great prizes. Our bowlers also receive a commemorative t-shirt.  

How to become involved. Become a team captain by recruiting five people. Or, join a team. Our team captains and team members ask family, friends and co-workers to donate online in advance of our event. Then, join us for the party at Sim's Lanes!

SUPER BOWLER DRAWING:
 
For every $300 raised individually, a Super Bowler will receive one chance to win a great individual prize. This year, our lucky winner will bring home TWO AIRLINE TICKETS for use anywhere in the continental United States! This wonderful prize was given courtesy of Jeff Meehan of PCR Travel, located on Brodhead Road in Center Township.
 
SUPER TEAM DRAWING:
 
For every $700 raised, Super Teams will receive one chance to win a great team prize!  Last year, our lucky Super Team won 12 tickets for the Just Ducky Tours of Pittsburgh.  A wonderful time was had by all!

The contest drawing for the Super Bowler and Super Team prizes will take place at the Appreciation Dinner (Date to be announced).  The winner need not be present to win. 

 

 

Tips to Make Your Team a Striking Success!

Set an ambitious goal - Every $1200 raised enables us to Match another child. How many children will your team help?

Spread the word - Send an email to encourage people you know to donate or start a team. Encourage your employer to become a sponsor or register multiple teams for a friendly company competition.

Make it a challenge - Who can raise the most for kids on your team?

Day 1: Add your own $15

Day 2: Ask four family members for $5 each

Day 5: Ask two co-workers for $5 each
