Our Mission

Our mission is to help find a cure for relapsed neuroblastoma - an extraordinarily deadly pediatric cancer.  Our organization of volunteers is dedicated to funding the translational research of the nmTRC so that kids fighting for their lives TODAY will be given clinical options to choose from.

Survival rates for neuroblastoma in general are horrific but once this disease comes back these kids have very little chance at surviving even three years.  The stagnant survival over the past few decades is unacceptable and the parents of these children have been forced to fill the funding gap in order to even have new options to choose for their kids.

 Who is Will?

Will Lacey was an infant when it was discovered he had stage IV metastatic cancer.  It was found to be neuroblastoma and since his diagnosis in March of 2005 he has been receiving chemotherapy.  His tumor became refractory to therapy after just two cycles and in September of 2006 his doctors at the Jimmy Fund in Boston told his parents that Will was incurable.

This was an answer his parents were unwilling to accept and they have been searching for a way to keep him alive ever since.  With the support and efforts of friends and family they have helped to fund the work of Dr. Giselle Sholler and the nmTRC.org consortium in bringing life saving therapies to Will and other children like him throughout the US.
