My personal message:

Wow! I can't believe this will be my second Buddy Walk! Last year was such a success and we are hoping that this year will be even better! 

Since I was born my mom and dad have become involved in the Omaha Down Syndrome Parents Network. ODSPN has given mom and dad a lot of helpful information and support throughout my year of life!  My mom and dad did not know until I was born that I had Down Syndrome so ODSPN was there to help! The money raised from the Buddy Walk will go to ODSPN to pay for programs for families impacted by Down Syndrome, fun outings for my family, information for parents and educators and much more! 


The Buddy Walk is going to be so fun! It is on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at UNO. The walk starts at 9:30 a.m. and registration starts at 7:30. The walk is a mile long around the track! There will be so much more than just the walk! My mom, Aunt Amy, Aunt Debbie and Aunt Ashley are involved in the planning for the Buddy Walk and I know they have a lot of fun stuff planned for the kids! Please plan to walk with us to show your support and awareness of Down Syndrome. We are more alike than different! 


My mom is going to have shirts made again this year! Last year I was only 4 months old and I was blinded by the sea of pink t-shirts! If I know my mom, the shirts will probably be pink again! I hope that we can have everyone participate again and wear their Bella's Buddies t-shirt proudly! Let my mom know if you want a shirt!


How can you help? Many different ways! You can donate to my fundraising page on the Firstgiving website...www.firstgiving.com/bellahayden. This is a secure sight and the money goes directly to ODSPN. You can also give your donation to my mom or dad and they will post it to the webpage. The best way to show your support is to register to walk and come walk with us! My family would love to see you there! Let's make this walk a successful one! Last year I was the second highest fundraiser...can I be first this year?
