It is that time of year, and we are writing to ask you to please sponsor Team Benaka – Chad, Elias, and Margaret –  for the 24^th AnnualCape Walk to End Homelessness on October 4th.  The five- mile walk benefits the nonprofit Margaret works for, Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC).  

In the past we have walked in honor of children around Elias's age who are homeless and last year we walked in honor a a veteran, like Margaeret's father.

This year, we are walking in honor of: Max, a 12 year-old boy who lives in small rental with his parents and sister.   Max almost became homeless when father became ill and couldn’t work for several months.  Housing Assistance Corporation prevented the family from eviction by helping with back rental payments and is further working with family on a long term solution.

The work HAC does in the community is something we strongly support.  Please consider sponsoring us – any amount would be appreciated.  Our personal goal is to raise $2,500 for the Walk (last year we raised over $2,000).
