First and foremost, thanks for taking the time to visit this page, and for your support.

As I have come to understand all too well one obsession has the tendency to be replaced with another.  Running has become my new absession.  Rather than simply pound the pavement to improve my own health, I wanted to see if I could find a way to help others as I worked to help myself.  After all, if I'm going to be putting in training miles, why not use the opportunitiy to try and raise money/awareness for a worthy cause?  I found NACoA as a result of regstering for the Walt Disney World (WDW) Marathon Weekend.

The 'Goofy Challenge' is as follows:

1. Complete the WDW Half Marathon (13.1 miles) on Saturday 1/9/2010.
2. Complete the WDW Full Marathon (26.2 miles) the following day, Sunday 1/10/2010.
3. Live to share the experience, and swear you'll never do it again ;-)

Yes, that's right - just shy of 40 miles (39.3) in two days!
