About The Bergen Bike Tour Charities

Proceeds from the Bergen Bike Tour are divided evenly between these two charities:

Tomorrows Children's Fund exists to ease the pain and speed the healing of children with cancer.  Established by loving parents seeking help and relief for their desperately ill children, in association with physicians committed to providing the best possible care, the Fund addresses the critical needs of families facing the anguish of childhood cancer.  Tomorrows Children's Fund provides a warm, healthy and loving atmosphere for children in treatment, a wide range of services to relieve emotional and financial stress; state of the art medical care; and funding for research on childhood cancer and serious blood disorders.  Tomorrows Children's Fund will not rest until these terrible diseases are conquered.

The Volunteer Center of Bergen County strengthens the community by connecting people with opportunities to serve, operating model volunteer programs, building capacity for effective volunteering, and participating in strategic partnerships that meet community needs.  Working with more than 600 public and private nonprofit agencies in and near Bergen County that value and need the services of volunteers, the Volunteer Center links individuals, groups, organizations and corporations with rewarding volunteer opportunities that fit their interests, abilities, schedules and location.  The Volunteer Center also operates a home repair service for the elderly and disabled and two mentoring programs that assist abused children and overwhelmed mothers in need of guidance.
