This is my 2nd annual walk with Old Colony Hospice, with a threefold purpose: to stimulate awareness for hospice, to support Old Colony Hospice, and to acknowledge our love and loss of Pat and Paul.
My family was rescued by hospice 14 years ago when our two brothers were fighting the losing battle to AIDS. Pat and Paul both died pain free, with dignity, and with family around them -- all because of hospice. Art Buchwald is right, "Hospice should be a household word!" Anyone who's life has been touched by hospice would agree. And so, I invite my family and friends to walk with me on April 27th, to help promote awareness about this invaluable service, and support Old Colony Hospice, this wonderful non-profit hospice.
We had a spirited, walking team of 25 last year ~ it was a beautiful and memorable day! So join in on the fun, and after the walk, we can congregate a the Irish Cultural Centre's pub for a pint or two, for fellowship and rehydration!
