Started in 1952 by Rev. Everett Swanson as an orphanage for those devastated by the Korean War, Compassion International now has child development centers in 26 countries and helps over 1.2 million children escape economic, spiritual, and social poverty. Compassion partners with local churches and offers impoverished children holistic development programs that are Christ-centered and child focused. Children grow up receiving constant support in the nurturing environment of the center and church, which allows them to live a life of fulfillment and hope.
Compassion International’s Malaria Fund
All proceeds from this event will be given to Compassion International for the purchase and distribution of mosquito nets, which protect children from malaria. Malaria is a tropical disease that kills over 750,000 children each year. That’s one child every 30 seconds. Let’s be the generation that ends malaria. Let’s BITE BACK!
“If you think you’re too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito.”
