I am pleased to announce that Bobbi and the Strays will be holding our first ever Walk 4 Paws Walk-a-Thon in Forest Park. We will be doing this to raise awareness and funds for the many homeless animals in our city.
We were very sad to hear that many shelters have been closing but we want to assure the community that we are just as committed as ever to continuing our mission. Bobbi and the Strays is here to stay! There are too many animals that need our help and my dream is to help all of them. That is why I set an ambitious goal of $10,000. I have come to learn that dreams and ambition can go a long way!
I started Bobbi and the Strays many years ago rescuing animals out of my home. Since then organization has since grown considerably. We now rescue and place over 500 animals a year in forever home and are working towards establishing a large permanent shelter in Queens which will always serve as a safe haven for homeless homeless. This will enable us to rescue even more animals in need and provide more humane education programs to help prevent animals being homeless in the first place.
