Welcome!
Thank you for supporting the Boston Ronald McDonald House.
You are making a difference for countless children with cancer and their families.
The Boston Ronald McDonald House opened its doors in Brookline in 1979, establishing itself as the eighth Ronald McDonald House in the country. The House was a dream of the Friends of the Jimmy Fund, a group of parents whose children were treated for cancer at Children's Hospital Boston and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Jimmy Fund Clinic. With the support of McDonald's, local McDonald's Restaurant owners and hundreds of other generous people, companies and foundations, this dream became reality. Since its opening, thousands of children with cancer and their families have lived in our "House that love built." This is our fourth year running the CIGNA Falmouth Road Race, and on August 9, 2009, there will be 40 runners raising money for the House. We are hoping to beat the almost $80,000 we raised last year. For the 2009 race, all money raised will again go to our endowment fund, so in the future we will be more financially secure, as we will be less reliant on day to day donations. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
