The 4th annual Bowling Green Alex's Lemonade Stand Day July 12th 2008!!!!
We are off to a great start with lots of big news!!!! This event would not be possible without the over 300 kids and their families who have volunteered to help this year!!! Thank you!!!!

Thanks to Johnston Boyd and The Vision Group for allowing us to be a part of Traditions at Lover's Lane Picnic in the Park for Habitat for Humanity. We raised over $200 and Mr. Boyd made the most amazing lemonade stands for us to use and keep!!! (Pictured to the left, complete with wiring for electricity and umbrella shade) Thank you Mr. Boyd and his staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Each year this event has grown and we are so excited that we already have over 25 stands around town and one big Country Time Grand Stand later in the afternoon planned for 1030 US 31 w By-Pass at Simpson and Compton orthodontics. Please support all the kids in Warren County who will be working so hard hosting lemonade stands!!! Current locations include: Highland Way, Rockfield school, Briarwood, IGA at Plano and the new one at Lovers Lane, Ford's Furniture, Hunting Creek, Hidden River, Independence Bank on Nashville Road, Springhill Pharmacy, Medical Center, Bent Tree, Barrington Manor, Talbot Place, Deer Meadow, Greenwood Park Church of Christ, Hunters Crossing and Claiborne Farms, Crossridge, Indian Hills, Fountain Trace, Plano Store, Greystone, Walnut Ridge and Sutherland Farms. Everyone works so hard so please visit a stand near you!! We always enjoy hearing the stories of how the lemonade stands have helped bring neighborhoods together. It's a great way to meet your neighbors and what a great way for everyone to be involved in a great cause. No one is too old or young for this event!!

Also, special thank's to Chris Cohron, Warren County Commonwealth Attorney, for sponsoring a bounce house for the big event and to Sam's club of Bowling Green for a gift card to help buy supplies!! Kristen Oliver and family will host a cupcake walk, Ann Bolin and girls will be sponsoring nail painting, face painting by Amy Jarboe and Jason Martin, child I.d kits and other "kid's are special" items by Hughes and Coleman, ambulance tours by the Medical center and Fire truck by the Bowling Green Fire department. ...and more!!!
Please join us from 4-7 at Simpson and Compton for a great time!! Inflatable, dunking booth, games, giveaways, raffle and more!! Mitchell's Bar-b Que will be set up with hot dogs, hamburgers and other food items. Chaney's Dairy Barn will have complimentary scoops while supplies last! And of course, free lemonade!!!
However, we still need more help. We are looking for more volunteers and donations of any items to have at the big stand for our raffle and giveaways Please contact us to find out how you can help!! It's a great cause and we know you would love to be a part of it!!!
