Thanks to everyone who's donated, I'm happy to report that I've reached my goal and there will be a free MENY bus to send 57 people to the National Equality March in DC.
The bus has already been filled but you can still register at www.meny.us to join another bus.

Astoria is not only my home; it's my community.
The National Equality March on October 11th will be one of the most memorable events of our lives. Supporters of GLBT equality from coast to coast will gather in one place for one day for one cause; our equality.
Marriage Equality New York has organized buses to take New Yorkers to Washington, DC and back. We will also march with MENY in the March wearing coordinated rainbow color tshirts and umbrellas.
I want members in my neighborhood to experience this amazing march with me.
...and that's where you come in.
I know my community would participate in the National Equality March so let's organize a free bus from Astoria.
Once the fundraising target of $1800 has been reached, I'll accept requests for FREE registration for our own Astoria MENY bus (donators of at least $32 get first seats, the rest are first come-first serve up to 57 seats total).
