"You've Been Pinked" Family Event - August 28, 2010

 Great news:  Falcons Brian Finnerman will be out at the event to cheer on the walkers.  We sure hope you will bring the kids to meet him and then join us for the family walk.

We can still use some volunteers and would love to have a few biker dudes out there helping.  Remember you can sign up on line or at the event.

WE WILL “NOT” BE HAVING OUR FAMILY DAY EVENT AFTER THE WALK, however we will still have a family walk at the end of morning walk around the Concourse.  We are truly sorry to cancel this, but we just did not get enough children to participate to hold it.
 
There will be fun and games for the kids to be playing with while waiting for their mom/dads to come in but not a full day of games.
 
Check-in time for Volunteers is 6 AM
Check-in time for Walkers is 7 AM
Walk begins at 7:30
There are two 6 mile routes from the Concourse that are really pretty and you can do one or both of the routes.
We will have vans and cars riding the route checking on you
We will have water, snacks and sport drinks for you at the “PINK STOPS!!
Remember to bring something to wear around your neck that will cool you down and hydrate well the day before the walk.

Come in entrance off of Hammond Drive across from the Publix Shopping Center

Directions to The Concourse:
400:  If you are driving 400, heading south, exit Abernathy, turning left onto Abernathy, move into right lane and at first light, turn right onto Peachtree Dunwoody.  Continue down P’tree Dunwoody to you come to the light at Hammond. (Public Shopping Center will be on your right).  Turn right onto Hammond and left into the Concourse (across from shopping center) and bear to the left as you enter and that will take you to the parking lot closest to the field.
   
400:  If you are driving 400, heading north, exit at the Glenridge exit (exit for the hospitals) and turn right and then at 2nd light, turn left onto Peachtree Dunwoody Road.  Follow to Hammond Drive and turn left onto Hammond (Public Shopping Center at the corner).  After turning left onto Hammond, turn left into the Concourse and bear to the left, which will take you to the parking deck closest to the field.
I-285: If you are driving on 285 heading east from the Marietta area, etc., exit onto Glenridge exit (just before 400) and turn left onto Glenridge.  Turn right onto Hammond Drive (park on your right).  Follow down and enter the Concourse at the 2nd entrance and bear left, taking you to the parking garage closest to the field

I-285: If you are driving on 285 heading west, exit Peachtree Dunwoody (before 400 exit) and turn right onto Peachtree Dunwoody.  Come down to the light at Hammond (Publix shopping center on the corner) and turn left onto Hammond and then left into the Concourse.  Bear left as you come in and that will take you to the parking deck closest to the field.
