Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page in honor of Brian Parks.
Background Story
Brian was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor called Glioblastoma Multiforme in August 2008 after experiencing abrupt paralysis of his right hand. Since the tumor is located on the left side of his brain, the right side of body is affected by its location. Changes in the tumor may affect the use of his right side, specifically his face, right arm or leg. Brian has undergone radiation therapy at the Winship Cancer Center at Emory and ongoing chemotherapy treatments at the AFLAC Cancer Center at Scottish Rite in Atlanta. He has been a trooper to have had so many treatments in such a short period of time.
Before being diagnosed, Brian played rec football since the 3rd grade and into his high school years at South Forsyth High school. He was on the wrestling team at Collins Hill High School and also participated in the band as a percussionist. Starting young as an enthusiastic musician, Brian played the drums by ear before becoming a student of music theory for five years. Today he maintains a library of music in which he produces with his own studio program.
An avid sports fan, he loves football, soccer, basketball and wrestling to name a few. His favorite college football team is Ohio State; his favorite pro team is the Atlanta Falcons and fav high school team..of course South Forsyth War Eagles!
Brian attends NorthPoint Community Church where he connects with Inside Out high school ministry and is part of a small group.
Brian and his family appreciates your support and love.
