Our personal message:
The land of opportunity!  That is why my ancestors came to this country.  We have everything you could ever want and then some in America.  My eyes were opened recently of how many people in the world don't have the simple basic necessity of water.  In God's eyes, and now my own, that is a problem.  We have everything in this country but there are many that don't even have water.  I get angry with that thought and just want to cry out and ask the question why is this world so unfair?  How can I, a follower of Christ, sit back and not do anything?  Instead of just sitting in my puddle of anger I thought I could at least do something.  So, after running my first marathon last year I decided this year I was going to run with greater purpose.  I'm choosing to run with Team World Vision to make running a marathon worth more than just me trying to reach a goal of qualifying for Boston.  So, this year I'm going to try to raise some money for people in Zambia to have water.  Just trying to be proactive and not reactive!  Will you join me?  Oh yeah, I love support so if you want to come to Chicago and be here for the marathon we have plenty of places to sleep in our house.  Blessings!
