To my friends, family and colleagues,
As you know, I sing with the New York City Gay Men's Chorus (NYCGMC). The Chorus has been a significant part of my life in NYC. NYCGMC has also impacted many other lives in countless ways. One key impact for GLBT youth was the development of the Youth Pride Chorus (the first GLBT youth chorus in the U.S.)!
NYCGMC, like so many other non-profits, is struggling during this economy. We are launching several major fundraising initiatives and have cut $150K from our operating expenses. We are also about to embark on our 30th Anniversary year which is planned to be a truly exciting season.
We are on the verge of not being able to deliver our 30th Anniversary concerts though. To realize the potential of our upcoming fundraising initiatives, our cust cutting efforts and to be able to perform, we need your help.
To make sure we keep performing, Board members have made personal donations. I have made a significant donation myself. Would you please consider making a donation as well? Every dollar counts! Thank you for reading and THANK YOU, in advance, for your support. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Brian
