Hi all!

I am running the Chicago Marathon ( my FIRST EVER!!!) in October on behalf of World Vision! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this organization and am extremely passionate about all they do, give, and change around the world to those who so desperately need it. Today, and every day, nearly 26,000 children under the age of 5 will die. Most of these children will die from hunger or preventable diseases. We can help!

World Vision has always been a huge part of my life. My father sponsored a child when each of his four children were born. I grew up seeing the direct impact they had on personal lives, and as a result, I sponsored two girls while in college (we still sponsor them). Danny and I have just added two boys "into our home" too. They are a year older than rambunctious Nina-Lily, and we know the long-term relationships she will form with them will give her incredible experiences as well as a deep awareness of the world "outside" of hers.

My goal in fundraising for this marathon is "changed lives" - those you will be helping, and yours. There are two ways you can give: through a one time donation and/or sponsoring a child. If you are at all able too, please consider the precious ongoing gift of sponsoring a child/children so that you (and your family) may too experience the joy that comes with the relationship(s). I know my goal may seem aggressive! Please ask your company to match your gift.
