The Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation (MASF) is a private, non profit charitable organization whose mission is to promote personal development, education, health, fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship through athletic competitions and educational programs for the people of Massachusetts.
Bay State Games is committed to addressing the epedemic of childhood obesity that is affecting not only Masschusetts but the entire nation. The Bay State Games Kids Fitness Challenge is a program directed at all Massachusetts elementary and middle school students. The mission of the program is to motivate students and administrators to become more active and emphasize the importance of having a healthy and active lifestyle. Since the inception of the program in 2006, over 60,000 children from Massachusetts have participated in the program and over $12,000 in grants have been awarded to Massachusetts elementary and middle schools to support their physical education programs.
In addition to the Kids Fitness Challenge, the Bay State Games conducts numerous recreational and educational programs including the Bay State Summer Games, Bay State Winter Games, the Future Leaders College Scholarship Program, a sportsmanship program, the High School Spirit program, a sports medicine program and the Bay State Games Hall of Fame. As a member of Team BSG, you will be raising money to help continue and expand the programs produced by the MASF as we strive to improve the health and personal development of over 30,000 Massachsuetts residents each year. These funds are crucial to maintain the low fees and high quality events that people have come to expect from the MASF.
