We grew out of the realization that 43,000 animals a year enter the county animal services and humane society. Only 16% of these animals leave these facilties. Research has indicated that three areas need to be addressed: (1) spay/neuter of animals, (2) adoption of strays, (3) humane education.
ACT is focused on both owned and feral cat spay/neuter programs. It is working in conjunction with other animal welfare organizations in Hillsborough County to end the euthanasia of 26,000 companion animals a year.
