Team Brigham raises money for essential BWH community health programs to improve the quality of life for those less fortunate. These programs provide jobs for young people interested in health care, offer programs for domestic violence victims, make available compassionate services for women with breast cancer and support community health centers - all addressing the serious needs of our community and beyond.
BWH Team Heart Rwanda - In sub-Sahara Africa more than 1,000,000 children have been diagnosed with rheumatic heart disease but remain untreated. A team of BWH clinicians began a decade-long mission to bring heart surgery to Rwanda through service and education. We hope to help Rwanda establish an independent cardiac surgery program through educating local physicians, nurses and healthcare workers, while providing direct care during annual visits.
Operation Walk Boston strives to improve the quality of life for impoverished patients through the direct and indirect delivery of orthopedic health care. A team of more than 50 Boston healthcare professionals will return to the Dominican Republic with the mission of providing the highest level of joint replacement surgery and treatment to as many patients as possible.
Pedaling for Preemies is a team of riders who bike 50 or 100 miles to raise funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Children's Hospital in Boston.
