Hi, thank you for visiting our fund raising page!

This year a group of us were in Cambodia at Christmas time.  We feel very strongly about doing something to make a difference there and we're trying to raise $10,000  to build an actual library in Cambodia.  We'll be fund raising until June 30th 2007, so help us reach our target by then.

Genocide and aggresive occupation have plauged Cambodia's past.  The country is finally starting to recover from past atrocities, but it still has a long way to go.  Increasing the availability of education is one way to empower Cambodians and foster progress.

The top 3 donors to this page will also have their names on a plaque on the door, along with our names, and although it won't be built in time for our trip this year, it will ready by next Christmas.

Room to Read, the not-for-profit who will build it, will keep us posted on every step of construction, and their work was recently commended by Bill Clinton at his Clinton Global Initiative.

今年のクリスマスに、私たちはカンボジアに行きます。カンボジアは悲しい過去を持つ国です。少しでも世界を良くするようなことがしたい、こう考えた私たちは、カンボジアに図書館を建てるために、10000ドルを集めることにしました。期間は、2008年の6月30日まで。それまでに目標金額が集まるように、どうぞ協力をお願いします！

このサイトを通じて寄付してくれた人のなかで、最も多く寄付してくれた三名の方の名前は、私たちの名前と一緒に、図書館のドアにつけられるプレートに載ります。図書館は、来年のクリスマスに完成予定です。
