Our Mission

Our mission is to create a national network that connects every youth aging out of foster care to the critical resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive in adulthood.

What's the problem?

Each year, more than 20,000 youth age out of the foster care system in this country. Many are forced to leave the system on their eighteenth birthdays with absolutely nowhere to go. Lacking family or community support, the personal and societal outcomes for former foster youth are tragic. Each year thousands face isolation, homelessness, unemployment, incarceration, and exploitation as they struggle to make their way into adulthood.

+ 25% become homeless within the first two years
+ 25% become incarcerated
+ within 4 years, 60% have had children, and those children are twice as likely to be placed in foster care. The cycle continues.

What we do.

Camellia Network allows young people emancipating from foster care to create online profiles highlighting who they are, their goals for the future, and what they need to be successful. With support from donors like you, we can purchase supplies that will directly impact a youth in need. Five dollars or five thousand dollars - it all goes toward helping a young person successfully transition into adulthood.

How You Can Help.
