Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay Area provides a wide variety of psychosocial support groups, educational programs, exercise classes, nutritional counseling, treatment management counseling, creative expression and stress reduction workshops, and other services and support for cancer patients and their caregivers.
All of our services have clinical research evidence to support their value and impact for cancer patients and their families. They enable cancer patients to manage their treatment and recovery, increase their chances for survival, and provide for the highest possible quality of life.
This year, we will serve over 1,800 people affected by cancer in the East Bay and over 350 people affected by cancer in Silicon Valley. And we are needed now more than ever — as people with cancer are living longer and facing complex longer-term issues of survivorship.
Over 82% of every dollar we receive is spent directly on programs and services. And the average cost to underwrite the care for a person with cancer at Cancer Support Community is just $50 per month, or $600 per year.
