Care Plus Foundation strives to build a brighter world for the nearly one in four community members struggling with mental health issues. About Care Plus Center for Primary and Behavioral Health
The Care Plus Center for Primary and Behavioral Health is the first of its kind in New Jersey. Its innovative approach coordinates and integrates care across all elements of the healthcare spectrum and addresses the needs of patients living with serious mental illnesses from a physical and behavioral perspective through a team of medical and behavioral health professionals. The comprehensive program provides access to basic healthcare, behavioral healthcare, management of chronic health conditions and programs promoting healthy lifestyles.
In the News for 2011
In 2011, CPNJ provided support to over 18,000 adults, families and children. It was honored with a top national Best Practices Award in Consumer Satisfaction by the Mental Health Corporations of America (MHCA). The national award was received for achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction in the provision of behavioral health services nationwide, among agencies offering 5 or more programs. The Care Plus Foundation also celebrated a notable year, being honored with a 2011 Ambassador Award from the NJ Governor’s Council on Mental Health Stigma.
